George Dubose
Born and raised here in the Upstate, George became interested farming as way of making positive lifestyle changes and improving his own physical health. After an attempt at graduate school, George took an apprenticeship at Mountain Harvest Organics and has since been working on organic farms. In the spring of 2015, George saw an opportunity in Urban farming in Greenville and decided to start his own small business. With the help of some friends and family, he converted a vacant lawn on the Swamp Rabbit Trail into a productive vegetable garden. Since partnering with Chris Miller, George has found a market in high-end restaurants and farmers markets here in Greenville.
Christopher Miller
Until recently Chris was pursuing a degree in Environmental Science & Sustainability in Northern Michigan at the University of Northern Michigan at Marquette. Inspired and compelled by the environmental degradation caused by a global industrialized food system, Chris decided to become an organic farmer and learn how the science and philosophy of sustainable agriculture. He took his first job as an apprentice for Mountain Harvest Organics, a vegetable farm located in Hot Springs North Carolina where he first met George and found his passion for growing vegetables and cooking gourmet food. He spent the next two years working and studying in the farm-to-table scenes of Chicago and Grand Rapids Michigan for a variety of farms and restaurants. Since September of 2015, Chris & George have partnered together with the goal of providing the best vegetable produce to our community and the most talented chefs in Greenville, SC.
